It hardly seems like three days have passed since i got back from my little vaca. What a good time! What started as a quick foray to visit a few friends turned into a grand expedition around the city. Aside from visiting and catching up with dear friends and dining the highlight of my trip was no doubt my trip to the Botanical Gardens. Their green houses are amazing! It was of course just my luck to be visiting during an Orchid special. (My FAVORITE PLANTS) I took over 100 photos of plants and flower. In all honesty one of my pipe dreams is to become a flower photographer. I haven't had time to sift through all of those photos yet. When i do i'll be sure to post some of my favorites.
The eating was also amazing. I think in the course of two days i probably ate 7-8 meals. Admittedly i did spend quite a lot of time traipsing about in the snow. There was Udapi Indian on Sunday (Grand South Indian food) Harris for an enormous fish sandwich ( i won for largest portion that day), Sharp Edge pub for Ostrich burger and some fine German import beers (Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock being one of my favorites), Joe Mama's for some fine chili and these delicious deserts and much much more! Details to come.
Tirimisu was to DIE FOR. Chocolate Cobbler. Blueberry Crostini with Lemon ice cream.
